Gale Pearce is Executive Director of Indiana Operations for the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies. She is responsible for managing the Family of Companies' three products that serve over 180,000 members throughout the state of Indiana. The products include a Medicaid program for low-income families and children (MDwise Hoosier Alliance), a program for the uninsured (Health Indiana Program), and the Medicaid program that manages services for the aged, blind and disabled (Care Select). Ms. Pearce is responsible for the general oversight and operations of all programs, including managing community outreach, medical management, operations, provider services and growth strategies.
Ms. Pearce previously served as Executive Director for AmeriHealth Mercy's program for low-income children in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was responsible for the general oversight and management of one of the first health plans included in Florida's Medicaid reform programs. She also served as Chief of Staff at sister company Passport Health Plan in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role she provided legal services, managed the human resources and the compliance departments, and developed and implemented a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan for the Plan's dual eligible members.
Before joining the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, she was General Counsel for both the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department of Insurance and Acordia of Louisville. She also provided legal services and support to Humana, Inc. and Kentucky Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Ms. Pearce earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of South Florida.
